Many of the songs are based on personal experiences by Ms. Bogart White. She wrote Coal Valley Blues for her husband and American coal miners; Take Me In Your Arms is dedicated to a wonderful friend who enriched Ms. Bogart White’s life; Lizanthia is a depiction of a sad romantic encounter in Montana; Will of the Wisp is based on an experience she had in marshy swamp in Owego, New York; and Autumn in New York brings back memories of some of the happiest days of Ms. Bogart White’s life. |
