Description
Whisper Rap is a mysterious and haunting collection of narrated songs for organ. The listener will hear old and familiar songs like These Foolish Things and Deep Purple, as well as music written by Ms. Bogart White, with lyrical assistance from Don Cheney on Midnight Wire Twister and with synthesizer accompaniment from Darryl Dybka on Ruby and Toys in the Attic. Many of the songs are based on personal experiences by Ms. Bogart White. She wrote Coal Valley Blues for her husband and American coal miners; Take Me In Your Arms is dedicated to a wonderful friend who enriched Ms. Bogart White’s life; Lizanthia is a depiction of a sad romantic encounter in Montana; Will of the Wisp is based on an experience she had in marshy swamp in Owego, New York; and Autumn in New York brings back memories of some of the happiest days of Ms. Bogart White’s life.

    Reviews
"One of the most magical, charmingly eerie CDs I've ever heard. Imagine the spooky organ music of someone like Korla Pandit, accompanied by dramatic whispered recitation of popular song lyrics by an elderly woman. The effect is haunting. I can't forget this CD."
