| | | Violinist Svend Rønning enjoys a varied career as soloist, concertmaster, and educator that has taken him throughout Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East. Formerly Concertmaster of the Charlottesville Symphony, Mr. Rønning has served as guest concertmaster of the San Jose Symphony and is currently Concertmaster of the Tacoma Symphony and the Tacoma Opera. As soloist, he has appeared with numerous orchestras, including the Charlottesville Symphony, the Prague Radio Orchestra, and Orchestra Seattle.
A former faculty member at the University of Virginia, Mr. Rønning is currently Assistant Professor of Violin at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington.
Mr. Rønning received is own musical training from Pacific Lutheran University and holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from Yale University. He has recorded for Clearfield, MMC, and New World Records. |
