| | | | Born in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia in 1964, Róbert Stankovsky has been devoting himself to music since the age of six and began conducting by age fourteen. He studied both piano and conducting at the Bratislava Conservatory and graduated with honors.Considered one of the finest young conductors of his generation to emerge from Czechoslovakia, Mr. Stankovsky has had extensive work as a conductor in spite of his young age. Mr. Stankovsky currently leads the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra as well as the State Philharmonic Orchestra in Kosice and has conducted in both the United States and Europe. |
