| | | Elizabeth Pizer, composer, keyboardist, audio engineer and freelance reviewer, received her formal education at the Boston Conservatory of Music.
She has won many awards, including three in the 1982 Delius Competition. Her music has been heard at New York’s Lincoln Center, London’s Wigmore Hall, the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in South Carolina, the GEDOK Festival of Music by Women in Germany, the Charles Ives Center for American Music in Connecticut, and in performances by the Gregg Smith Singers, the Dale Warland Singers, members of the Honolulu Symphony, the Oakland Chamber Orchestra and the North/South Consonance. | | | | | | Online at: http://music.acu.edu/www/iawm/articles/feb94/straughn.html |
